About the Journal

WorldServe Online proudly presents to you the "Perspective" series of journals. A top-class international journal series peer reviewed by an elite and eminent board of editors, which makes sure your research reaches out to the academia world in the shortest time frame possible. The online journal series, with a monthly frequency, promises quality content pertaining to the latest fields of science and technology. Indexed with the most popular indexing agencies and libraries across the world, the Perspective series guarantees a huge audience for your research work.

So why the name Perspective? Just like how a picture can be worth a thousand words, any research carried out can also be expressed by more than a thousand perspectives. Our journal gives you an opportunity to showcase one such perspective of the research carried out by you.

The "Perspectives in Communication, Embedded-systems and Signal-processing" (PICES) focuses on the latest innovations in the modern fields of Wired/Wireless communications, Embedded systems inclusive of robotics and also signal processing designs in both the Analog and Digital domains. The journal also encourages environment friendly and green approaches to common day scientific problems.

Aims and Scope

The main aim why the Perspectives in Communication, Embedded-systems and Signal-processing (PiCES) was conceptualized, was to provide a platform for researchers to publish their "perspective" on the research they are carrying out. Any research carried out can have many outcomes and can be described with different perspectives. Our journal provides an opportunity for all researchers to put forth these novel ideologies and methods in the form of a research paper and publish the same. Another fact is that there is a scarcity of journals who allow publication of survey papers. We feel survey papers are like the foundation or the goto place before any research should begin. Similar to how a building cannot be constructed without a good foundation, no research can be carried out without a good survey. PiCES provides a platform for survey papers as well, creating a good starting point for any research to begin. Further to this we also aim to provide a free and open accessible area for all researchers to share, disseminate and provide views on their state of art and thought provoking work. We are a strong believer that research should not be held behind closed doors or confined to paid venues and hence publication to PiCES shall remain free and the papers contained within it shall be open access till the end of time.

The main scope of the journal is to publish papers in the Electronics domain - Communication, Embedded systems and also Signal Processing. However, with the evolution of science and technology, there has begun a culmination of these fields along with various software domains as well. We see a lot of machine learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and also research utilizing neural networks being combined with the embedded system and signal processing domain. Hence, we have further broadened our scope to allow these domains as well. You can have a look at all topics over here.

Archiving

All papers published in PiCES are archived in the Deutsche NationalBibliothek (DNB - Germany) and Zenodo. Apart from this, a copy of each and every paper is also archived by PKP via the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and this assures papers in PiCES to be digitally preserved till the end of time!

Publication Ethics

"Ethics is knowing the difference between what you have a right to do and what is right to do."
- Potter Stewart (Former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States)

WorldServe Publishers along with its board of editors strive hard in making the "Perspectives in Communication, Embedded-Systems and Signal-Processing" (PICES) one of the most successful journals in the Engineering World today. At the same time, this would not have been possible without our strict adherence to our publication ethics.

Once a paper has been submitted to our journal, the Editor-in-Chief holds the right to categorize the submitted work based on the requirements of the journal. The paper is then submitted to a double blind review process by the peer reviewers. During this process, the reviewers hold the rights to suggest to the authors regarding the changes to be made in the paper before it gets published in the journal. Keeping in mind Conflict of Interest, WorldServe Publishers/PICES, under any circumstance, will not disclose the identity of the reviewers to the authors of the paper. At the same time, the reviews obtained by our reviewers for the submitted paper will be disclosed only to the authors of that paper. The Editor-in-Chief would possess the right to reject a paper accepted by the reviewers, in case the content of the paper is found to be unoriginal, published, plagiarized (either self, intentional or unintentional) and is considered for review elsewhere. In case the peer review committee is unable to come to a conclusion regarding a particular paper, our editorial committee will provide their expertise in order to assess the paper submitted and will assist the review committee to come to a verdict regarding the paper. Unethical behaviour of authors will not be entertained.
