Open Access Statement

The "Perspectives in Communication, Embedded-systems and Signal-processing" (PiCES) journal and our publisher WorldServe Online are firm believers, that knowledge and scientific research “must and should” be freely available to all, disseminated under the purview of and for the "better good" of science and technology. 

Hence, PiCES is and will always be an “OPEN ACCESS” Journal. This means that all content and papers published in PiCES are freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. This also means all articles are immediately available to read and reuse upon publication. User(s)/Author(s)/Reader(s) of this journal are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, as long as the original authors and this publication are properly cited. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

LICENSING


All papers currently published or which shall be published in the PiCES journal are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY-4.0). This means that any Author(s)/User(s)/Reader(s) of the paper can:

a) SHARE (Copy and redistribute the paper in any medium or format) and also

b) ADAPT (remix, transform, use, re-use and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially) however by giving

c) APPROPRIATE CREDIT in the form of a citation which includes the names of the author(s) of the paper, the title of the paper,  the issue and volume of this journal where the paper was found and the title of this journal.

All authors publishing their paper in the PiCES journal must transfer the copyright of their paper to this journal/publisher. 

Does this mean you as an author lose all rights over the paper? Does this mean you cannot use or reuse your own work?

Short Answer - NO!

Long Answer- Since all papers are licensed under the CC-BY-4.0 license (See above), you as an author do not lose any rights over your paper which has been published. You are free to use, re-use, build upon anything and everything encompassed in your paper provided it is properly cited.
